Job summary

Fakeeh Care Group is seeking a physician to perform clinical duties within assigned privileges and to lead the care of inpatients under their name. The role involves thorough patient assessments, evidence-based planning, timely documentation, and discharge planning with education for patients and families.

Responsibilities include daily inpatient assessments, responding to consultations, and teaching rounds.

• Daily inpatients assessments and SOAP progress notes; respond to consultations.
• Document interventions promptly and follow Fakeeh care documentation standards.
• Complete and authenticate discharge summaries and educate patients on discharge instructions.
• Attend facility duties, respond to calls per schedule; participate in meetings and teaching rounds.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatments.

Description

• Performs clinical duties as per his / her assigned clinical privileges.
• Assesses his / her patients thoroughly (eg. clinical, socioeconomic, psychological and functional assessments).

and documents patients' assessment in patients' medical records.

• Develops a plan of care for patients using an evidence-based approach and following standards of care, and documents the plan of care in patients’ medical record.
• Ensures that patients’ plan of care that is put by him/her is being implemented in a timely manner.
• Becomes the most responsible physician (MRP) for inpatients admitted under his / her name.
• For inpatients admitted under his / her name, develops discharge plan on day of admission and involves discharge-planning service as early as possible if warranted.
• Assesses inpatients that are admitted under his / her name at least once daily and ensures documentation of daily assessment and plan of care in daily progress notes using SOAP format.
• Responds to medical consultations in timely manner.
• Documents medical interventions that he / she performs on patients in a timely manner.
• Strictly follows Fakeeh care standards for documentation in medical records.
• Responsible for timely completion and authentication of discharge summaries for patients admitted under his / her name. Also responsible for ensuring that indicated discharge instructions and education on take home medications is done prior to patients discharge.
• Attends to Fakeeh Health Care facility duties and responds to calls from the facility as per the departmental / section call schedule.
• Attends departmental and general staff meetings and contributes ideas for improving efficiency, productivity and patient satisfaction.
• Responsible for writing medical reports of his / her patients in a timely manner an das per Fakeeh care format.
• Contributes to teaching rounds and teaching activities as requested by chairperson of medical department.
• Educates patients and their families about health conditions, treatments and preventative measures.
• Other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to clearly communicate with patients and their families, physicians and non-medical staff.
• Microsoft computer skills.
• Should have good organization skills and be able to work in high stress situations.

Experience

Completion of experience according to the regional health regulatory authority (as mentioned in education) within the field of specialty, in recognized medical centers.

Education

Completion of structured training in the field of specialty or subspecialty in a recognized medical center, and obtaining the highest clinical degree in that field of specialty that can be granted by that medical center.

Language: Excellent command of oral and written English and Arabic.

Licenses / Certifications

License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS / DHA), BLS and advanced license if applicable.
