Job summary

Fakeeh Care Group in Medina is seeking an experienced physician to deliver clinical care under assigned privileges, assess patients comprehensively, and document plans of care in medical records.

You will ensure timely implementation of the plan, serve as the most responsible physician for inpatients, contribute to discharge planning, daily progress notes, and participate in teaching rounds and staff meetings while upholding Fakeeh Care standards.

Qualifications

• Board or Fellowship in the relevant medical specialty.
• Licensed to practice in the region (SCFHS/DHA or equivalent).
• Strong communication and organizational skills; able to work under pressure.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical duties as per assigned clinical privileges.
• Assesses patients comprehensively and documents assessments in medical records.
• Develops evidence-based plans of care and documents in medical records.
• Ensures timely implementation of the plan of care.
• Becomes the most responsible physician (MRP) for inpatients under their name.
• Develops discharge plans and involves discharge planning early when warranted.
• Assesses inpatients daily and documents progress notes using SOAP format.
• Responds to medical consultations promptly and documents interventions.
• Follows Fakeeh care standards for medical record documentation.
• Completes and authenticates discharge summaries; provides discharge instructions.
• Attends facility duties and responds to calls per schedule.
• Attends staff meetings and contributes to improvements in efficiency and patient satisfaction.
• Writes medical reports for patients in a timely manner and supports teaching rounds.
• Educates patients and families about health conditions, treatments and prevention.
• Performs other duties within scope as required.

Job description

Key Responsibilities And Duties

• Performs clinical duties as per his / her assigned clinical privileges.
• Assesses his / her patients thoroughly (eg. clinical, socioeconomic, psychological and functional assessments) and documents patients' assessment in patients' medical records.
• Develops a plan of care for patients using an evidence-based approach and following standards of care, and documents the plan of care in patients’ medical record.
• Ensures that patients’ plan of care that is put by him/her is being implemented in a timely manner.
• Becomes the most responsible physician (MRP) for inpatients admitted under his / her name.
• For inpatients admitted under his / her name, develops discharge plan on day of admission and involves discharge-planning service as early as possible if warranted.
• Assesses inpatients that are admitted under his / her name at least once daily and ensures documentation of daily assessment and plan of care in daily progress notes using SOAP format.
• Responds to medical consultations in timely manner.
• Documents medical interventions that he / she performs on patients in a timely manner.
• Strictly follows Fakeeh care standards for documentation in medical records
• Responsible for timely completion and authentication of discharge summaries for patients admitted under his / her name. Also responsible for ensuring that indicated discharge instructions and education on take home medications is done prior to patients discharge.
• Attends to Fakeeh Health Care facility duties and responds to calls from the facility as per the departmental /section call schedule.
• Attends departmental and general staff meetings and contributes ideas for improving efficiency, productivity and patient satisfaction.
• Responsible for writing medical reports of his / her patients in a timely manner

• Contributes to teaching rounds and teaching activities as requested by chairperson of medical department
• Educates patients and their families about health conditions, treatments and preventative measures.
• Other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.

Experience

• Completion of experience according to the regional health regulatory authority
• (as mentioned in education) within the field of specialty, in recognized medical centers.

Education

• Board / Fellowship.

Licenses / Certification

• License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS /DHA), BLS and advanced license if applicable.
