Summary

Performs basic patient transport task. Assists in the daily functioning of the department in support of patient care.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Supports the provision of safe, patient and family focused quality care.
2. Accompanies, transports andtransfers patients and patient related items (chart, medication, etc.) asrequired.
3. Assistsand helps patient in transporting patients to different areas safely.
4. Follows established telephoneetiquette. Seeks assistance where appropriate.
5. Adheres to the Employee Codeof Conduct. Maintains confidently at all time.
6. Promotes a safe environmentand safe patient care by embracing a safety culture and identifying areas ofrisk to Supervisor.
7. Floats to, and covers otherareas as assigned.
8. Contributes to patientsatisfaction by responding to requests in a timely manner.
9. Collects, organizes, archivesand fillies documents periodically as needed.
10. Follows the chain of commandin reporting incidents or concerns.
