Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in hospital pharmacy setting.
• Good command of oral and written English.
• Proficient with pharmacy management software and Microsoft Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, clarifies doctor’s medication orders and verifies doses, duration and indications.
• Oversees preparation, double-checking and labeling before dispensing.
• Calculates drug quantity based on body weight and age.
• Enters outside prescriptions into hospital HIS/CPOE before dispensing.
• Counsels patients and caregivers on safe use and storage of medications.
• Maintains inventory control and secure storage of narcotics and controlled meds.
• Complies with infection prevention and safety standards.
