Job summary

Confidential Company in Riyadh region seeks an experienced supervisor for ornamental plant production and nursery operations. You will oversee propagation, irrigation, pest management, and resource planning to support project needs.

Ideal candidates have Gulf/arid climate experience, strong record-keeping, Excel proficiency, and leadership skills to coordinate cross-functional teams in a field-based role.

Qualifications

• Experience in ornamental plant production or nursery operations.
• Experience in the Gulf or hot arid climates.
• Proficiency in records and reporting using Excel or an inventory system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal production plans based on forecasts and growth cycles.
• Determine requirements for seeds, cuttings, mother plants, containers, growing media, fertilizers, pesticides, labor and space.
• Maintain records of species, batches, ages, sizes, quantities, locations, health status and movements.
• Coordinate confirmed orders, delivery dates and acceptable alternatives with Sales and Projects while preventing conflicts.
• Supervise propagation by seed, cuttings, and other methods, including pruning, staking and sale prep.
• Set irrigation and fertigation programs by species, age, season, water quality and growing medium; monitor moisture and drainage.
• Monitor growth vigor, uniformity, rooting, and success rates; implement corrective actions.
• Manage shade acclimatization and hardening before dispatch to withstand transport and landscape conditions.
• Implement integrated pest and disease management: monitoring, diagnosis, isolation, treatment and safe material use.
• Inspect plants before dispatch for size, container, root and canopy quality and pest-free status.
• Maintain sanitation of production areas, tools and propagation sources; apply quarantine when infection is suspected.
• Allocate tasks to workers, monitor productivity and train teams in safety and material use.
• Monitor irrigation networks, pumps and storage facilities; raise maintenance needs before production is affected.
• Prepare loading, sorting, tagging, packing and transport orders; coordinate with project sites to reduce plant stress.
• Issue production, inventory, mortality and delivery reports; suggest improvements to raise survival and productivity.
