Job summary

Zahid Industries in Jeddah is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee daily activities in logistics, transportation, and warehouse areas. You will ensure efficient workflows, allocate resources, and drive performance against targets.

You will lead a team of drivers, warehouse staff, and coordinators; monitor KPIs, enforce safety procedures, and collaborate with other departments to ensure timely deliveries and accurate inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; logistics certification preferred; BA in Business/Logistics is a plus.
• Experience with WMS/TMS and strong organizational skills.
• Arabic and English language proficiency required.

• To supervise daily operational activities within a specific area (e.g., transportation, warehouse, logistics), ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to procedures, and achievement of performance targets.

Key Accountabilities

• Supervise Daily Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations within the assigned area, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient use of resources.
• Team Management: Supervise, train, and motivate a team of operational staff (e.g., drivers, warehouse workers, logistics coordinators).
• Workflow Management: Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of work.
• Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on operational performance.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve operational issues and escalate complex problems to management.
• Procedure Adherence: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Inventory Control (if applicable): Monitor inventory levels, ensure accurate stock management, and conduct regular stock checks.
• Scheduling (if applicable): Create and manage schedules for staff, equipment, and deliveries.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports on operational activities and performance.
• Communication: Maintain effective communication with other departments and external stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude

• Educational Qualifications and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in logistics, transportation, or a related field is preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is a plus.
• Knowledge:Basic understanding of logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations (depending on the specific area of supervision). Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures. Familiarity with performance metrics and reporting.
• Technical Skills:Proficient in basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite). Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), or other relevant software is a plus. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Language Skills: Arabic and English are essential.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an operational role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
