Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this role is responsible for directing the optimisation of production planning, asset management, and project execution across all operations. The Director drives excellence in operational performance, ensures alignment with business goals, maximises resource efficiency, and supports sustainable organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and direct the implementation of the divisional strategy aligned with Tuwaiq's overall vision and mission, ensuring operational plans are strategically designed and executed to achieve long-term objectives
• Ensure divisional strategies and operational plans are effectively translated into actionable outcomes with clear and measurable goals aligned with organisational vision and mission.

Leadership

• Lead the achievement and alignment of divisional objectives through effective leadership, performance management, and team development to maximise efficiency and productivity
• Guide talent development initiatives, collaborating with discipline experts to ensure the availability of talent that meets business needs and fosters innovative solutions
• Manage the assigned team through effective mentoring and coaching, contributing to growth opportunities and professional development across the division
• Serve as a role model and drive adherence to organisational values and ethics, ensuring the establishment of a principle-driven culture across the division.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Monitor and validate that all operations are conducted in line with the approved budget, reporting any variances for executive decision-making.

Safety Management

• Develop and lead the implementation of comprehensive safety strategies, plans, and processes that foster a strong safety culture at Tuwaiq, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and regulatory compliance
• Establish and manage the continuous improvement of Tuwaiq's safety management framework, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and drive operational excellence.

Management Reporting & Stakeholder Management

• Ensure all divisional reports are prepared accurately and on time, meeting Tuwaiq's requirements, policies, and quality standards
• Develop and maintain lasting relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration, support business objectives, and ensure alignment with Tuwaiq's strategic goals
• Support Tuwaiq's public relations initiatives and corporate social responsibility efforts by engaging with key stakeholders and contributing to activities that enhance the organisation's reputation.

Production Planning Management

• Define and lead the development and management of production schedules to ensure alignment with customer demand, minimise lead times, and optimise resource utilisation across the organisation
• Contribute to the analysis of production capacities by gathering relevant data and providing insights to identify gaps or opportunities for improvement aligned with long-term operational goals
• Guide the planning and management of inventory levels to ensure alignment with operational goals, balance cost efficiency, and maintain the availability of essential materials
• Lead the execution of production plans and monitor the adaptation of schedules to meet evolving demands, while contributing to alignment with strategic objectives and operational efficiency.

Asset Management

• Contribute to defining strategies for maintaining an accurate inventory of physical assets including machinery, tools, and equipment, while guiding the alignment of Maintenance and Operations teams to optimise their use and longevity
• Define and oversee capital projects related to the acquisition, upgrade, or replacement of critical assets, facilitating alignment with Tuwaiq's strategic goals and operational priorities
• Plan lifecycle management strategies for critical assets, ensuring cost, performance, and risk optimisation to deliver maximum value
• Monitor and recommend actions to identify and mitigate risks related to asset management, addressing challenges such as obsolescence, depreciation, and unforeseen equipment failures to ensure long-term efficiency and reliability.

Project Management

• Contribute to establishing and leading the implementation of structured shop floor protocols, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient working environment that supports equipment longevity and operational efficiency
• Lead the presentation of project progress and technical specifications to stakeholders, facilitating alignment with organisational objectives and customer requirements
• Guide the strategic approach to preparing and processing customer invoices, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with organisational policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is preferred
• Relevant professional certifications such as CMRP, CPIM, or PMP are preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 12 years of experience in Operations Management, Production Planning, Asset Management, or related fields, including at least 6 years in a managerial role.

Technical Competencies

• In-depth understanding of production scheduling methodologies including Just-in-Time, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS)
• Experience in evaluating production capacities and identifying opportunities to optimise production workflows
• Proficiency in project management methodologies.
