Job summary

Kinetix Arabia in Jeddah is seeking a contract Steel Fixer to read structural drawings and determine reinforcement needs for slabs, beams, columns, and other elements. Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, bar bending schedules, and construction specifications.
• Strong practical skills in measuring, cutting, bending, and fixing steel reinforcement using hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of construction site safety procedures, safe lifting practices, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Experience working on concrete structures such as foundations, columns, beams, and slabs in commercial or infrastructure projects.
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to work at heights, in varying weather conditions, and in a team-based environment.
• Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and commitment to quality and deadline adherence.
• Previous experience as a Steel Fixer or similar construction role; vocational training or certification in construction trades is an advantage.
• Basic communication skills in English and/or local languages to coordinate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret structural drawings and specifications to determine reinforcement requirements.
• Measure, cut, bend, and shape steel bars; tie rebar using appropriate methods.
• Set reinforcement in position before concrete pours; inspect completed work for quality and safety.
• Coordinate with site engineers and other trades to ensure proper placement and spacing.
