Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Saudi Arabia seeks a Field Structural Engineer to monitor and supervise structural construction activities for large-scale building and hospitality developments. You will ensure structural integrity, construction quality, safety, and schedule adherence on site.

Key focus includes reviewing shop drawings, coordinating with architects and MEP teams, and driving quality control through inspections and testing of structural elements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Master's Degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Professional Engineering registration or equivalent accreditation desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect foundations, retaining structures, concrete works, steel structures and building frameworks.
• Verify construction activities align with approved methodologies and quality requirements.
• Monitor workmanship to meet project specifications and industry standards.
• Witness inspections and testing of structural materials and works.
• Identify and resolve structural construction issues in a timely manner.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, and contractor proposals for design intent.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP, QS and construction teams on interfaces.
• Support RFIs, technical queries, and design modification assessments.
• Provide recommendations for value engineering affecting structural systems.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress and compliance reports.
• Maintain records of inspections, tests, and technical reviews.
• Ensure non-conformances are closed with corrective actions.
