Job summary

CSI Global is seeking a qualified HSE Officer to ensure a safe working environment across project operations in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role encompasses monitoring, inspections, and safety program implementation in construction/MEP settings.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor’s in OHS/Engineering, with NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA certifications advantageous, and bilingual Arabic/English abilities. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in health and safety, engineering, or related field.
• Experience as Safety Officer in construction/MEP projects preferred.
• Knowledge of HSE procedures, risk assessment, and workplace safety practices.
• NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA or equivalent certifications are an advantage.
• Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills.
• Arabic and English bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and identify hazards and unsafe practices.
• Prepare safety reports, checklists, and incident records.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions for workers.
• Ensure proper PPE use and site safety compliance.
• Assist in risk assessments, JSA, and method statement reviews.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses and recommend corrective actions.
• Support emergency preparedness and drills.
• Coordinate with project teams to implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety documentation and ensure compliance with Saudi regulations.
• Report serious safety violations to management.
