Job summary

CSI Global is actively seeking a Safety Officer to uphold a safe working environment across project operations in Makkah. The role focuses on monitoring, inspecting, and enforcing HSE policies while supporting risk assessments and safety program development.

The ideal candidate will hold an Occupational Health & Safety degree or diploma, possess relevant HSE certifications, and demonstrate strong communication and reporting skills in a construction or engineering setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience as a Safety Officer, preferably within construction, MEP, or engineering projects.
• Good knowledge of HSE procedures, risk assessment, and workplace safety practices.
• Relevant HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are an advantage.
• Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a site/project environment.
• Bilingual in Arabic and English.
• Immediate availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
• Prepare and maintain safety inspection reports, checklists, and incident records.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions for employees and subcontractors.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with site safety requirements.
• Assist in risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and method statement reviews.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor emergency preparedness and participate in emergency drills.
• Coordinate with project teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain safety documentation and ensure compliance with applicable Saudi regulations and project requirements.
• Immediately report serious safety violations or incidents to the relevant management.
