Job summary

RIKAZ AL SHARQIYAH is seeking a Cost Control Engineer with offshore fabrication and heavy industry experience. You will monitor budgets, support forecasting and ensure cost efficiency across fabrication, construction, repair and maintenance projects.

The role requires a strong background in cost control, budgeting and reporting, with hands-on experience in large yard environments and offshore construction. Collaboration with Planning, Procurement and Finance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 6-9 years of experience in Cost Control/Cost Engineering or Project Controls.
• Strong experience in offshore jacket fabrication, module fabrication, shipbuilding, or heavy industrial projects.
• Experience supporting large fabrication yards or oil and gas construction projects.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, earned value management and project reporting.
• Advanced MS Excel and project controls software.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control project budgets, commitments and actual costs.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and ad-hoc cost reports for management review.
• Support project budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning.
• Track fabrication, construction, repair and production costs against approved budgets.
• Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Production, Commercial and Finance teams.
• Support change management, variation orders and cost impact assessments.
• Monitor productivity, resource utilization and cost performance.
• Maintain cost control systems and ensure accurate project reporting.
• Assist in project close-out and final cost reconciliation.
