Job summary

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (Gen. Org.) is seeking a Health & Safety professional to coordinate occupational health and safety programs. The role involves identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing preventive measures to protect staff and patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree/Diploma in Safety or related discipline.
• Three years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or five years with an Associate Degree/Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Promotes occupational health and safety within an organization and develop safer and healthier ways of working
• Inspects workplaces and workplace equipment to ensure they meet safety regulations and to identify hazards and risks
• Ensures that workplaces conform with organizational procedures and safety standards
• Works with engineers and other professionals to ensure the safety of worksites and work practices
• Ensures dangerous materials are correctly stored preventing occupational hazards on employees
• Identifies and test work areas for potential accident and health hazards such as toxic fumes and explosive gas-air mixtures and implement appropriate control measures
• Ensures an organization is aware of and complies with all legislation relating to its duty of care workplace activities and the use of its plant equipment and substances
• Records and report hazards accidents injuries and health issues within the workplace
• Assists with the investigation of accidents and unsafe working conditions study possible causes and recommend remedial action
• Conducts training sessions for management supervisors and workers on health and safety practices and legislation
• Assists with the rehabilitation of workers after accidents or injuries and make sure they experience a satisfactory return to work
• Coordinate s emergency procedures Confined Space rescues firefighting and first aid crews

Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree/Diploma in Safety/Loss Prevention, Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Industrial Safety, Environmental Safety, or any related discipline.
