Job summary

Thales is seeking an experienced maintenance and IT support professional to monitor and maintain data processing and production equipment in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency while supporting continuous improvement across operations.

Responsibilities include incident response, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with engineering teams to minimize downtime and meet safety standards.

Qualifications

• Above 5 years experience in IT support, equipment maintenance, or related technical role.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Experience implementing safety standards and maintenance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Communicate product or data processing issues at daily production briefings.
• Provide first line incident support for personalization and infrastructure issues.
• Process SAT/UAT submissions ensuring SLAs are met.
• Administer change requests and notifications.
• Offer technical support and advice to operations teams.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical faults.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per schedules.
• Record maintenance activities and spare parts usage accurately.
• Coordinate with engineers to resolve complex issues.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Job description

Support and monitor all data processing activities to ensure accurate, secure, and efficient operations, while maintaining reliable equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement in compliance with operational, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicate any product or data processing issues at the daily production briefings.
• First line incident support for any personalization and infrastructure issues.
• process customer test cycle (SAT/UAT) submissions ensuring SLAs are met.
• Change request notification administration.
• provide technical support and advice to other operational departments and teams.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical equipment faults.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks according to maintenance schedules.
• Report all equipment issues, breakdowns, and recurring faults to the Maintenance Manager in a timely and clear manner.
• Use technical drawings, manuals, and diagnostic tools to perform maintenance activities accurately.
• Support machinery installation, commissioning, and upgrades.
• Respond effectively to emergency breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and company policies.
• Record maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and equipment condition accurately.
• Coordinate with engineers and supervisors to resolve complex technical issues.
• Support root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.

Experience Required:

Above 5 years

Education Qualifications:

Proven experience or relevant qualifications in IT support, equipment maintenance, or a related technical role.

Skills Required:

• Have a good competence level of Microsoft OS and office suite applications.
• Have strong logical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Hands-on experience with industrial machinery and production equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of safety standards and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Good teamwork and collaboration skills across maintenance, engineering, and operations teams.
