Job Vacancy: Accounting Officer

Our company is seeking to hire a Cashier for the Southern Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient daily cash operations, recording all financial transactions in the accounting system, including cash sales, collections from sales representatives, petty cash settlements, and disbursements. The role also includes following up on all banking activities related to the Southern Region, such as cash and cheque deposits, delivery and receipt of banking documents, and any other bank transactions authorized by the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record all cash sales and POS transactions in the accounting system.
  • Register cash collections from sales representatives and bank deposits, and link them to related invoices.
  • Reconcile sales with sales representatives’ reports on a monthly basis and ensure there are no discrepancies.
  • Record and review all petty cash funds allocated to the Southern Region.
  • Process operating expense payment requests in the approved system.
  • Execute bank deposits, transfers, and other banking transactions related to the Southern Region.
  • Manage the factory’s petty cash in the Southern Region and document all related expenses.
  • Prepare periodic reports on cash balances, bank reconciliations, and petty cash.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and approved accounting standards.
  • Adhere to monthly cash and petty cash counting and audit procedures.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the same field is required.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting systems and POS operations.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prepare financial reports and reconciliations.
