Job description

The role holder is responsible for monitoring all MEP Quality works & monitoring all activities related to rehabilitation & maintenance work & expert with installation, testing & commissioning as per the (ITP) inspection test plans, Review the shop drawings, Regular Inspection of existing MEP services & prepare the report & rectify the comments with the help of Engineers & technicians within the time limit & prepare all reports & log sheets of all types of MEP equipment and ensure that the PPM are conducted on time with right procedure. Develop maintenance procedures and schedules. The MEP supervisor’s role is not limited to quality, other duties should have to perform as assigned.

The MEP supervisor is responsible for overseeing the quality and maintenance of MEP systems, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations, and managing the performance of technicians.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and check daily reports and log sheets of operation of all types of MEP (Chillers, Pumps, AHU, FCU, Boilers, Generators, Firefighting Pump room, Plumbing, Cooling Towers, Sub Stations Units).
  • Follow up the operation and maintenance procedures for MEP equipment’s performed by technicians in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendation.
  • Plan and implementation, in conjunction with Quality Manager preventive maintenance (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually).
  • Site visit & Inspection as requested by the Tenant for new projects.
  • Review the shop drawings, material submitted by the Tenants.
  • Perform materials and labor estimation work to be performed for quotation of additional work.
  • Prepares detailed reports on any unscheduled breakdown of MEP equipment including reason for outage and recommendation for further operations.
  • Should be familiar with Codes & Standards, Saudi Building Codes, NFPA, ASHRAE, SMACNA & ASME codes & standards.
  • Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to construction processes.
  • Develop experiments by applying full and fractional techniques.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, making recommendations.
  • Perform the required inspections as per the approved ITP “Inspection Test Plan”.
  • Developing and implementing quality standards.
  • Developing and implementing quality control systems.
  • Monitoring and analyzing quality performance.
  • Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
  • Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
  • Attend all inspections with client/contractor representatives.
  • Supports Health, and Safety standards and practice.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
  • Prepare daily QC report regarding inspections, material and Non-conformance etc.
  • Ensure that all works are carried out as per the approved method statements and drawings.
  • Creating and archiving quality documentation for database maintaining and quality certifications.
  • Develop and establish quality procedures and systems for inspecting plans, quality trends, statistical plan price estimates and technical quality proposal plans.
  • Good Knowledge of Installation, commissioning and maintenance.
  • Ensure that the Policies and Procedures are strictly followed by all employees under the hard services department with documented training & action plans in place.
  • Trained staff in accordance with the policy and procedure of AKF M.
  • Carry out daily inspections (back of the house and front of the house staff) presenting the outcomes in the daily department reports.
  • Supports Quality Control Manager for staff performance evaluation.
  • Supports Quality Control Manager enhancement of profitability.
  • Follow escalations on health and safety, provide forms and QSHE forms to HSE Administrator to identify, close out actions and documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational / planning skills.
  • Ability to self-manage, priorities and work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to support, manage, lead and enthuse others.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s of engineering in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of Experience in Quality & Maintenance.
  • High level of Spoken and Written English.

  • Preferably with previously proven record of versatility and hands-on experience in Hard Services (MEP) FM Portfolios and ground; strong communication and interpersonal skills as the job will involve training with different nationalities.
