Job summary

ICM Solution is seeking a qualified MEP Estimator to join its MEP team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on reviewing tender documents, preparing mechanical designs and estimates, and coordinating across disciplines to ensure compliant, competitive proposals.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering background, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Excel, BIM tools, and estimation software. Knowledge of local codes is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design and estimation, preferably in MEP contracting or fit-out.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Experience in commercial, hospitality, retail, and restaurant fit-out projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and relevant estimation software.
• Knowledge of Revit MEP, HAP, and BIM coordination is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and client requirements.
• Prepare mechanical designs and calculations for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Perform cooling-load calculations, equipment selection, duct sizing, pipe sizing, and hydraulic calculations.
• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, cost estimates, BOQs, and tender proposals.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare technical and commercial comparisons and recommend compliant solutions.
• Identify scope gaps, discrepancies, value-engineering opportunities, and tender risks.
• Coordinate mechanical requirements with electrical, architectural, structural, and interior-design disciplines.
• Prepare technical submittals, RFIs, compliance statements, and material schedules.
• Support procurement and project teams during post-award and execution stages.
• Ensure designs and proposals comply with Saudi Building Code, NFPA, ASHRAE, and local authority requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and estimation, preferably within the MEP contracting or fit-out industry.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Experience in commercial, hospitality, retail, and restaurant fit-out projects is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and relevant mechanical calculation and estimation software.
• Knowledge of Revit MEP, HAP, and BIM coordination will be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of material specifications, market rates, and supplier evaluation.
• Good analytical, communication, coordination, and time-management skills.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia and familiarity with local codes and approval requirements are preferred.
