Job summary

Hamad Bin Abdullah Al-Manea Company invites a qualified Laboratory Specialist to join its medical center team. You will perform laboratory tests and analyses, ensuring accuracy and safety in line with approved professional standards.

Required: Bachelor’s in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Saudi Commission for Health Specialties registration, and strong knowledge of QA, infection control, and teamwork. Healthcare facility experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or a related field.
• Valid professional classification and registration from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
• Meet all regulatory licensing requirements to practice in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Previous experience in a medical laboratory or medical center is preferred.
• Good knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and quality control.
• Ability to handle laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Commitment to infection control and occupational safety standards.
• Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work within an integrated medical team.
• The job interview will be determined after the job interview is completed.

Responsibilities

• Receive and prepare medical samples and perform the required laboratory tests.
• Carry out analyses and tests according to the approved procedures and protocols.
• Ensure the correctness of samples and that they meet the requirements before conducting the analysis.
• Operate laboratory instruments and equipment and ensure they are ready.
• Apply quality control procedures and ensure the accuracy and validity of test results.
• Review test results and ensure there are no errors or abnormal results that require review.
• Document test results and laboratory data in systems and medical files.
• Inform the physician or the relevant responsible party of critical or abnormal results according to the approved procedures.
• Comply with infection control and occupational safety standards within the laboratory.
• Handle medical samples and dispose of medical waste according to the approved regulations and procedures.
• Monitor inventory of laboratory materials, supplies, and reagents, and raise a request when needed.
• Perform basic operational maintenance for equipment and report any malfunctions.
• Maintain the confidentiality of patients’ data and test results.
• Coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and the rest of the medical team to ensure the quality of the service provided.
