Job summary

Manpower Resources India is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter for deployment in Saudi Arabia to maintain rolling mill equipment.

You will handle mill stands, gearboxes, alignment, preventive and breakdown maintenance, and inspection tasks with a strong emphasis on safety.

ITI certification with 10–15 years of hands-on experience in steel and iron rolling mill environments is required; readiness to work on site and in shifts.

Qualifications

• ITI certification with 10–15 years of hands-on experience in mechanical fitting within steel/rolling mill environments.
• Experience in maintenance, alignment, and repair of rolling mill equipment and drives.
• Proven ability to diagnose faults in bearings, shafts, gears and drives and to implement corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Rolling Mill Equipment Maintenance: repair mill stands, gearboxes, pinion stands, spindles, couplings and drive systems.
• Preventive & breakdown maintenance: perform scheduled servicing, attend breakdowns and restore equipment quickly.
• Alignment & assembly: precision alignment of rotating equipment and ensure correct clearances and tolerances.

Position Title: Mechanical Fitter

Location: Saudi Arabia

Experience : ITI with 10 to 15 Yrs

Job purpose:

To ensure smooth operation of rolling mill equipment through effective mechanical maintenance, quick breakdown handling, and precise alignment of critical mill components

Job Responsibilities (KRA)

1. Rolling Mill Equipment Maintenance

• Maintain and repair mill stands, gearboxes, pinion stands, spindles, couplings, and drive systems
• Perform roll changing, stand assembly/disassembly, and alignment activities
• Ensure proper lubrication and tightening of all mechanical components

2. Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance

• Execute preventive maintenance schedules
• Attend breakdowns in mill area and restore equipment in minimum time
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions

3. Alignment & Assembly

• Carry out precision alignment of rotating equipment
• Ensure correct clearances and tolerances in assemblies
• Support installation and commissioning of new equipment

4. Inspection & Troubleshooting

• Inspect mechanical systems for wear, vibration, and abnormal noise
• Diagnose faults in bearings, shafts, and mechanical drives
• Use measuring tools for accuracy verification

5. Safety & Housekeeping

• Follow safety protocols during maintenance activities
• Ensure safe handling of heavy components using cranes
• Maintain clean and organized work area
