Job summary

Dar Al Riyadh Group seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to provide technical oversight for PMC projects. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, specs, calculations, and submittals, coordinating with design consultants and contractors, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in mechanical engineering, preferably in PMC/EPC or major construction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within PMC, EPC, engineering consultancy, or major construction projects.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical building services.
• Experience reviewing engineering designs, calculations, specifications, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
• Strong knowledge of applicable international standards, local codes, and authority requirements.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support and technical oversight for PMC projects.

• Monitor mechanical works and ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, codes, and project standards.
• Review HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems as applicable to the project.
• Monitor project progress and support the PMT/PMC team in resolving technical issues and design coordination matters.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, workshops, and site inspections.
• Review RFIs, material submittals, method statements, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
• Identify technical risks, design issues, and potential deviations and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Coordinate mechanical interfaces with architectural, structural, electrical, and other disciplines.
• Support testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover activities.
• Ensure mechanical works comply with applicable local and international standards and HSE requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and recommendations for the PMC management team.

• Good knowledge of applicable international standards, local codes, and authority requirements.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP is preferred.
• Familiarity with project management and document management systems.
• Strong understanding of design coordination, construction supervision, testing, commissioning, and project handover.
• Excellent communication, coordination, technical review, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, contractors, and client representatives.
