Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering or urban planning from an accredited university.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in related field.
• Experience in the master planning of water and wastewater services.
• Ability to collect master plans data and produce related reports.
• Ability to develop KPIs in relation to strategic planning and monitor the performance of the regional clusters based on these KPIs.
• Experience with preparing high-quality performance reports.
• Capable to fluently communicate in Arabic and English.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage water supply and wastewater systems in urban areas, developing plans for water distribution, sewage collection and treatment, stormwater management, and water resource management.
• Analyze conditions, assess needs, and develop engineering solutions to optimize functionality and sustainability.
• Conduct feasibility studies for urban development projects.
• Evaluate environmental impact, economic feasibility, technical constraints, and regulatory compliance factors.
• Perform feasibility studies to inform decision‑making and align projects with urban planning goals.
• Assess potential environmental impact of urban development projects.
• Evaluate air and water pollution, habitat disruption, and energy consumption, proposing sustainable development practices.
• Plan layout and distribution of wet infrastructure within urban areas, coordinating with roads, transit, utilities, and other services.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, building codes, and standards.
• Review project designs and construction plans for safety, accessibility, and environmental impact.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities to obtain permits and approvals.
• Work with stakeholders to develop integrated solutions meeting community needs.
• Provide technical expertise and coordinate project implementation with clear communication.
• Use data analysis and modelling to assess performance of urban infrastructure systems.
• Analyze population growth, traffic, energy, and other factors to inform planning decisions.
• Adhere to Hill International Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
