Job summary

Rosewood Red Sea in Saudi Arabia seeks an experienced Barista to create exceptional coffee and beverage experiences for a ultra-luxury environment. You will expertly prepare specialty coffees, teas, and other beverages, upholding Rosewood brand standards and high guest expectations.

You will maintain cleanliness, train and guide teammates, engage warmly with guests, tailor drinks to preferences, and support special events and VIP amenities while monitoring quality, waste, and costs to protect

Responsibilities

• Maintain beverage operations in line with Rosewood, Forbes, and LQA standards.
• Prepare and serve specialty coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure consistency in beverage quality, taste, temperature, and presentation.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of coffee, teas, brewing methods, and specialty beverages.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Provide warm, personalized, and attentive guest service.
• Engage with guests, recommend suitable beverages, and accommodate special requests.
• Ensure guest allergies and dietary requirements are clearly understood and followed.
• Complete daily mise en place and ensure readiness for service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of beverage stations, equipment, and work areas.
• Ensure menus, beverage displays, and promotional materials are accurate and well presented.
• Monitor the freshness and quality of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients.
• Proactively propose new beverage ideas, seasonal specials, and product enhancements to the Manager to support innovation, enhance the guest experience, and drive revenue opportunities.
• Follow recipes and portion standards to ensure consistency and minimize waste.
• Support VIP amenities, special events, seasonal promotions, and bespoke beverage requests.
• Ensure beverage equipment is maintained in excellent condition and report maintenance needs promptly.

• Maintain awareness of daily beverage sales, average check, and outlet performance.

• Ensure accuracy of order taking, billing, and posting within operational systems.
• Minimize beverage and ingredient wastage through proper preparation, storage, and portion control.
• Maintain awareness of coffee, milk, and beverage cost performance.
• Participate in inventory counts and stock replenishment as required.
• Report shortages, equipment issues, and product discrepancies promptly.
• Support implementation of seasonal promotions and beverage initiatives.
