Job summary

KBR in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Lifting Engineer to develop lifting plans for cranes, hoists and rigging, ensuring safe, compliant operations on site.

You will lead safety briefings, coordinate contractors’ heavy equipment, oversee rigging for complex lifts, and apply proactive maintenance knowledge across Oil & Gas facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Oil & Gas maintenance.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Oil & Gas maintenance.
• Must have 3rd party certified lifting and rigging qualification.
• Strong technical understanding of maintenance management of Oil & Gas Facilities.
• Well organized and proactive with excellent communication skills.
• Proven leadership skills with large organizations.
• An ability to achieve business results working in a multi-cultural environment.
• Flexibility to travel internationally and live in KSA.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed lifting plans for cranes, hoists, winches, or specialized lifting gear.
• Choose suitable lifting equipment (slings, shackles, spreader beams, cranes) based on load, geometry, and environment.
• Coordinate and manage contractors’ heavy equipment.
• Oversee rigging crews during complex or critical lifts.
• Lead toolbox talks and lifting safety briefings.
• Proactive Safety aptitude and behavior.
• Ensure that personnel have the skills, training and all needed resources, equipment's and tools to conduct routine maintenance activities in safe and effectively manner, according to the contract terms and conditions.
