Job summary

PrimeEstate is seeking a qualified Librarian for our Medina, Saudi Arabia location. You will manage the library's collection, assist patrons with research, and help develop programs and services to serve the community.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Library Science, 2+ years in a library setting, and strong English communication. Arabic is a plus. Visa required; work on-site in Medina at our state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

Librarian (Medina, Saudi Arabia)

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team in Medina, Saudi Arabia. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library's resources, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and developing and implementing library programs and services.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the library's collection of books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and other resources
• Catalogue new materials using the Dewey Decimal System or other classification systems
• Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries through various sources such as databases, online resources, and traditional print materials
• Develop and implement library programs and services to meet the needs of our diverse community
• Plan and conduct workshops or training sessions to promote information literacy skills among patrons
• Collaborate with other librarians or professionals to acquire new materials or resources for the library
• Keep accurate records of library usage statistics and prepare reports as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a library setting
• Strong knowledge of cataloguing systems, information retrieval tools, and electronic databases
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus)
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Familiarity with current trends in library technology is preferred

Salary: $1300 per month

This position is suitable for men who have their own visa. Preference will be given to applicants from African or Egyptian backgrounds.
