Job summary

The Ritz-Carlton Diriyah seeks an accomplished Director of Engineering to lead all engineering, maintenance, facilities management, and asset protection across the property. You will drive strategy, safety, sustainability, and guest experience at a landmark luxury hotel in Riyadh.

Lead a high-performing team, manage substantial budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with owners, contractors, and regional leaders to deliver exceptional service and preserve asset value.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in luxury hospitality engineering or facilities management.
• Strong technical expertise across building systems, preventive maintenance, and asset lifecycle planning.
• Ability to lead budgets, contracts, and large-scale capital projects.
• Commitment to safety, sustainability, and exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead all engineering and maintenance operations ensuring reliability, safety, and operational excellence.
• Develop and execute an engineering strategy aligned with hotel objectives and owner priorities.
• Manage budgets, CAPEX projects, and asset protection plans to maximize financial performance.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs for building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and water treatment.
• Champion sustainability and energy conservation initiatives while supporting luxury guest experiences.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, health, safety, environmental, and life safety requirements.
• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team and establish strong relationships with stakeholders.
