Job summary
Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Engineer for Steering & Brake Systems to lead technical efforts from launch through ramp-up and series production. You will own steering gear, columns, tie rods, calipers, rotors, and related chassis interfaces while coordinating with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing to ensure quality, safety, and performance targets are met.
The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, strong root-cause analysis, and proven cross-functional leadership.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of steering and brake systems and vehicle dynamics.
- Experience with durability, NVH, and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
Responsibilities
- Provide plant engineering leadership for steering and brake components and related interfaces.
- Lead root-cause analyses for production and supplier issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Support prototype to production builds, manage engineering change releases, and plan plant implementation.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Quality, and Purchasing to improve process capability and reduce rework.
- Sustain engineering for chassis components, optimizing NVH, durability, and manufacturability.
