Job summary

BEC Arabia in Khobar is seeking a highly skilled QS Civil - Team Leader to oversee a team of quantity surveyors, ensuring accurate cost estimation and tight control of project costs across diverse infrastructure projects.

You will lead cost planning, contract administration and risk management in collaboration with project managers, engineers and procurement, while maintaining compliance with SBC and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in quantity surveying, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and MS Excel for cost estimation and project planning.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other relevant regulations.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
• Demonstrated expertise in preparing BOQs, tender documents, and cost control reports.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of quantity surveyors to deliver accurate cost estimates and financial reports.
• Develop and implement cost control strategies to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
• Prepare detailed bills of quantities (BOQs) and tender documents in alignment with project requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate project costs, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other relevant regulations.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and procurement teams to align cost management with project milestones.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
• Review and validate contractor claims, variations and payment applications.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate financial risks.
• Maintain up-to-date records of project costs, contracts and financial performance.
• Train and mentor junior quantity surveyors to enhance team capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with BEC Arabia's quality and sustainability objectives.
