Job summary

Hudson IT and Manpower seeks an experienced Planning Engineer – Mechanical to support planning, scheduling, progress monitoring and reporting for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Refinery projects in Saudi Arabia.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical construction/maintenance/shutdown experience, with Primavera P6 proficiency and a track record in coordinating cross-functional teams across site, engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC and HSE to deliver on schedule.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Planning Engineer experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Strong background in mechanical construction, maintenance, shutdown and turnaround.
• Experience with project planning and scheduling methodologies required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for mechanical construction, maintenance, shutdown and turnaround activities.
• Prepare baseline, look-ahead, recovery schedules and progress updates.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, critical activities and risks.
• Coordinate with Site Execution, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC and HSE teams for timely execution.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports and planning dashboards.
• Track manpower, equipment, materials, productivity and resource requirements.
• Analyze performance and provide schedule recovery and corrective actions.
• Monitor critical path activities and ensure milestone completion.
• Prepare progress measurement and quantity tracking for mechanical activities.
• Support S-curves, progress curves, histograms and productivity reports.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and monitor progress against schedules.
• Identify schedule risks, delays and extension-of-time impacts.
• Participate in progress meetings and provide updates to management and clients.
• Ensure planning and reporting comply with project requirements and client standards.
