Job summary

Partner company in Saudi Arabia seeks a Lead Software Engineer (.NET) to guide a major modernization from a monolith to microservices. You will own end-to-end delivery, drive architecture decisions, and collaborate with Product and Architecture teams to translate business needs into scalable technical plans.

Qualifications

• Strong professional background in .NET engineering, with deep expertise in C#, .NET 8, and ASP.NET Core.
• Strong understanding of web application architecture, REST APIs, microservices patterns, and message brokers like RabbitMQ.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Redis databases.
• Experience modernizing legacy monoliths into microservices architectures.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in containerized environments.
• Proven leadership: mentoring, performance reviews, and career development discussions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of the monolith-to-microservices modernization from analysis to deployment.
• Partner with Product and Architecture teams to review specs, assess legacy dependencies, and estimate work.
• Guide architectural decisions across .NET Core services, databases, and frontend integrations.
• Serve as technical escalation point for backend challenges, data migrations, and incidents.
• Improve delivery practices with Jira, estimation accuracy, process discipline, and QA collaboration.
• Support predictable releases by identifying risks and maintaining production stability.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings linked to career goals and provide feedback.
• Drive continuous improvements in engineering processes and team effectiveness.
