Job summary

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (Gen. Org.) seeks a Senior Medical Technologist to lead the subsection, oversee daily operations, and manage personnel. The role emphasizes quality control, safety compliance, and active participation in accreditation programs.

You will maintain laboratory information systems, ensure inventory accuracy, and train junior staff while supporting new methodologies and equipment evaluations.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
• Two years of related experience with a Master’s or four years with a Bachelor’s.
• Current registration with Saudi/region health authorities or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Organizes workflow and day-to-day operations of the subsection.
• Assigns staff to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Maintains Laboratory Information Systems for the subsection.
• Ensures supplies are available; maintains inventory system.
• Assists in development of new methodologies and evaluates new equipment.
• Maintains quality control and participates in QA programs.
• Counsels subordinates to improve performance and guides junior staff.
• Provides continuing education and trains personnel and students.
• Performs technical duties including weekends, nights, and on-call coverage.
• Ensures compliance with policies and accreditation standards.
