Job summary

  • Participate in business development and client proposals, potentially lead a small team.

Job Overview

The Senior Fire & Life Safety Consultant role requires a highly motivated and experienced individual with strong analytical and creative thinking skills to manage diverse project workloads across the Middle East. This client‑facing position requires solid technical understanding, excellent communication, and organizational skills. The role will be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities
  • Lead key Jensen Hughes projects in Saudi Arabia and across the Middle East, focusing on fire and life safety projects, including performance‑based design and sensitivity analysis for key infrastructure.
  • Conduct code consulting, fire safety drawing reviews, and report preparation in line with applicable standards.
  • Attend client project and design meetings, manage project expectations, and complete assigned tasks on schedule and within budget.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, lead and carry out design reviews.
  • Participate in business development meetings and presentations with clients, assisting in the development of effective business proposals and solutions.
  • Possibly lead a small team of fire engineers while interacting with multiple stakeholders at varied levels.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 15 years of industry experience, with proven experience in the Middle East region.
  • Strong background in fire engineering, with experience in tunnel fire engineering analysis, ventilation, structural fire resistance, suppression systems, fuel loading controls, communication systems, evacuation strategies, and firefighter intervention.
  • Postgraduate qualification within fire engineering; ideally working toward Chartered Engineer status.
  • Ability to undertake assignments independently and mentor young professionals.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
