Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Riyadh is seeking a Lead Field Engineer (Civil) to oversee contractor work on the Expo 2030 Riyadh infrastructure program, leading a team of field engineers and ensuring ES&H, quality and schedule compliance on permanent and temporary roads, earthworks and structures.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will coordinate across disciplines, support construction teams and liaise with client and stakeholders, ensuring permits, submittals and on-site materials meet

Qualifications

• Min 10 years in the construction industry.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience on large construction projects.
• Knowledge of equipment, production factors, standards and specifications.
• Experience in KSA / Middle East / GCC.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead contractor staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide discipline-based technical oversight and compliance of contractors.
• Coordinate across disciplines with Engineering for construction teams.
• Monitor project status, schedule, cost control and changes.
• Lead site-based technical coordination with contractors, client, and stakeholders.
• Ensure timely look ahead schedules, material delivery and submittals.
• Verify permits and licenses are in place and compliant.
• Review and approve contractor submittals, RFIs, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure materials/equipment meet international standards.
• Close the project systematically and completely.
• Coordinate interfaces with other contractors and lead review meetings.
