Job summary

Lucid Motors in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer – Inverter to lead the development, launch, and sustainment of automated test systems for traction inverter manufacture.

You will collaborate with Design Engineering, Controls, Quality, and external suppliers to deliver robust, scalable test solutions for high‑voltage power electronics and drive continuous improvement across production lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in controls/ electrical/ automation with 5+ years in manufacturing test.
• Experience in automated test equipment for high-volume manufacturing.
• Direct EV inverter/test equipment experience preferred.
• Knowledge of high‑voltage components, safety, and reliability.
• Ability to design test hardware and integrate with PLCs and dynos.

Responsibilities

• Review inverter test specs and approve changes for inverter validation.
• Analyze test sequences, cycle time, and fault handling for EOL testing.
• Design and own inverter test hardware including HV routing and grounding.
• Develop modular test apps with operator interfaces and data logging.
• Define fixtures, HV connections, and safety interlocks for tests.
• Collaborate with controls to integrate test apps with PLCs and load systems.
• Lead supplier selection, RFQs, and trajectory for external test equipment.
• Commission and validate test systems and support production ramp.
• Train maintenance and operations teams on inverter test stations.
