Job summary

Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority seeks a seasoned investigations professional to lead end-to-end review and validation of complex seizure reports, ensuring completeness, accuracy and legal soundness before escalation.

You will analyze documentary, physical, and testimonial evidence to establish violation occurrence and intent, determine liability, and oversee case referrals to Public Prosecution, upholding due process and suspect rights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in customs, legal enforcement, regulation, or investigations.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and policy drafting skills.
• Experience with seizure reports, interviews, and prosecutions is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation of customs laws and enforcement regulations to internal stakeholders.
• Identify systemic issues, risks, and gaps in investigation practices and suggest improvements.
• Review and endorse critical documentation such as seizure reports and prosecution requests.
• Oversee suspect interviews to ensure compliance with legal standards.
• Validate Public Prosecution notifications are accurate and timely.
• Mentor investigation teams and provide technical guidance.
• Contribute to policy development and standardization of procedures in customs enforcement.
