Job summary

A&O Shearman in Riyadh invites applications for a two-year Trainee Associate contract. You will rotate through four six-month seats across Finance, Corporate, Disputes, ENRI, and Energy/NR/Infrastructure, with an opportunity to spend a seat in the UAE.

Qualifications

Saudi National Candidate; LLB or equivalent with GPA 3.25/4 or 4.25/5
Strong analytical, research and drafting skills
Excellent written and verbal English communication
Demonstrated interest in commercial law and Middle East market
Commitment to completing a 24-month structured training programme

Responsibilities

Assist with legal research, drafting and document review.
Support transaction execution, e.g., due diligence and closing documents.
Attend internal and client meetings, take notes and track actions.
Prepare first drafts of memos, contracts and client communications.
Maintain matter files and support knowledge management.
Collaborate with colleagues across departments and offices.
Ensure compliance with firm policies, confidentiality and professional standards.
