Job Summary
The Landscape Supervisor oversees daily landscaping operations and manages field crews to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to company and client standards. This role ensures high-quality workmanship, safety compliance, and strong team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate landscaping crews on job sites
- Plan daily work schedules and assign tasks
- Oversee installation and maintenance of plants, trees, sod, irrigation systems, and hardscape features
- Ensure proper site preparation, grading, and planting techniques
- Monitor project timelines and adjust resources as needed
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
- Train, mentor, and evaluate crew members
- Enforce safety procedures and company policies
- Communicate with clients regarding project updates and concerns
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and materials
- Assist with cost control and project budgeting
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (landscape or horticulture certification preferred)
- 3–5 years of landscaping experience
- 1–2 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, plant care, and hardscaping
- Ability to read blueprints and landscape designs
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred in some cases)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Frequent bending, lifting, standing, and walking
Work Environment
Outdoor residential and commercial job sites.
Full-time position with potential overtime during peak seasons.
