Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Land Surveyor is to conduct surveys and mapping activities related to land development, boundary determination, topographic surveys, mineral exploration, engineering projects, construction layout and more. They must be able to accurately collect data from various sources, analyze it and present it in clear reports or maps for the client or other stakeholders. They should also be familiar with local regulations regarding land surveying and engineering projects in order to ensure that all documents are properly completed before submitting them for approval by the appropriate authorities.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should have at least 1 year of experience as a land surveyor as well as an advanced degree or certification in civil engineering, surveying or related field from an accredited university/college. Additionally, they should possess strong problem-solving skills and be comfortable working with computers and software programs related to their field such as AutoCAD or GIS software applications. Knowledge of mathematics including geometry and trigonometry is also essential for this role.
