Job summary

Praxy is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to deliver building utilities design for aviation projects including airport terminals, MRO hangars and control towers. You will support all design phases from concept to construction and commissioning, ensuring compliance with local authorities and aviation standards.

You will collaborate with MEP, BIM and design teams, coordinate with authorities and ensure safe, efficient facilities across aviation projects in KSA.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Experience in KSA or GCC projects.
• Aviation project experience preferred (terminals, hangars, etc).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) certified - Professional grade.

Responsibilities

• Chilled water system design and analysis.
• Calculations (pressure head, ESP, sizing, etc).
• Smoke management and fire/smoke control design.
• Control / Sequence of operation development.
• Codes and standards compliance across local and international regs.
• Obtaining local authorities approval for design documents.

Job description

To provide mechanical engineering building utilities design for aviation related projects including airport terminals, MRO hangars and control towers. The Mechanical Engineer supports all project design phases—from concept to construction and commissioning—ensuring compliance with local authority regulations, aviation requirements and international standards. He/She contributes to delivering safe, efficient, and high-performance facilities across aviation projects.

2 - LINE AND STAFF RELATIONS

The Mechanical Engineer will report to the Lead Engineer or Design Manager.

He/She will work in coordination with:

• MEP Engineers, Architects, Structural, Electrical, and Civil Engineers
• BIM Manager and BIM Modellers.
• Contractors and sub-consultants during design and site phases
• Statutory authorities including:

• Municipality
• Saudi Energy / SWA
• Aviation authorities

3 - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Chilled water
• Calculations (pressure head, ESP, sizing, …)
• Smoke management
• Control / Sequence of operation
• Codes and standards compliance
• Obtaining local and necessary authorities approval for design documents

C – BIM & Digital Coordination

• Competently uses BIM in design process
• Coordination and clash detection processes using Navisworks and BIM platforms (BIM 360 / ACC)

4 - PROFILE SPECIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Min. 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering
• Experience in KSA or GCC projects
• Aviation project experience preferred (terminals, hangars, etc)
