Job summary

Hilton in Jeddah is seeking a Kitchen Equipment Technician to ensure safe, efficient operation of all commercial kitchen appliances. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose faults, and support kitchen operations to minimize downtime.

The role requires Saudi residency, hotel maintenance experience, and ability to read manuals and diagrams. You will work with the kitchen, engineering, and maintenance teams, handle emergencies, and keep accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Must be currently residing in Saudi Arabia.
• Previous experience working in hotels is mandatory.
• Proven experience as a Kitchen Equipment Technician or in a similar technical role.
• Technical knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults.
• Experience with ovens, fryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, cooking ranges and other appliances.
• Good understanding of preventive maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read technical manuals, equipment specifications, and basic electrical/mechanical diagrams.
• Technical diploma or relevant vocational qualification is preferred.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, shifts, weekends, or respond to emergency breakdowns when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial kitchen equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, gas, and refrigeration-related kitchen equipment.
• Install, test, and commission new kitchen equipment.
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential faults and safety issues.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and spare parts used.
• Follow health, safety, and equipment manufacturer guidelines.
• Coordinate with kitchen, engineering, and maintenance teams when required.
• Ensure tools, spare parts, and equipment are properly maintained and organized.
• Support emergency repairs and maintenance requirements as needed.
