Job summary

Smart Technology Solutions in Jeddah seeks a Network/IT Infrastructure Engineer to implement and configure network infrastructure, including switches, VLANs, and Wi‑Fi, while coordinating with vendors and internal teams. You will participate in site surveys and ensure documentation is up-to-date for handover.

The role requires 0–2 years of experience, a relevant engineering degree, and knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and basic firewall concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 0-2 years of experience in Network / IT Infrastructure Projects.
• Strong knowledge of VLANs, Switching and basic Routing.

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure network infrastructure components and related systems.
• Perform network configuration including VLANs, IP addressing, routing, switching, and basic firewall setups.
• Participate in site surveys and review project requirements, drawings and BOQs.
• Coordinate installation activities with vendors and project teams.
• Troubleshoot network and infrastructure issues during project implementation.
• Support integration of CCTV, Access Control, IP Telephony, Wi-Fi and other ELV/ICT systems.
• Perform testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including network diagrams.

Working across the Information Technology and Services sector, the company supports organizations with reliable, practical technology environments that connect infrastructure, communications, and business operations.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of network and infrastructure projects that support essential client environments. You will work across implementation and integration activities, partnering with project stakeholders to help ensure systems are configured effectively, installed to plan, and handed over with the right technical documentation in place.

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure network infrastructure, including switches, wireless access points, VOIP, CCTV, access control and related systems
• Perform network configuration including VLANs, IP addressing, routing, switching, and basic firewall configurations
• Participate in site surveys and review project requirements, drawings, and BOQs
• Supervise and coordinate installation activities with vendors, contractors, and other project teams
• Troubleshoot network and infrastructure issues during project implementation
• Support the implementation and integration of systems such as CCTV, Access Control, IP Telephony, Wi-Fi, Meeting Room & AV Solutions, Digital Signage, and other ELV / ICT systems
• Perform testing, commissioning, snagging, and project handover activities
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, IP/VLAN plans, configurations, and As-Built documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
• 0-2 years of experience in Network / IT Infrastructure Projects
• Strong knowledge of VLANs, Switching and basic Routing, with familiarity with TCP/IP and Subnetting preferred
• Hands‑on experience with managed Layer 2 / Layer 3 switches
• Good understanding of Wi‑Fi networks, PoE, Fiber Optics, SFPs, and structured cabling
• Basic knowledge of Firewalls, NAT, and VPN technologies
• Ability to read network diagrams, technical drawings, and project documentation
• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with clients, vendors, consultants, and internal teams
• Eligible to work in Saudi Arabia

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with networking platforms such as Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Huawei, HPE, or equivalent is preferred
• CCNA or equivalent networking knowledge is highly preferred
• Vendor certifications such as Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, or Huawei are considered a plus
• Previous experience with ELV / ICT system integration is an advantage
