Job summary

BEC Arabia in Khobar is seeking a Storekeeper Assistant to support the Inventory Department in managing materials, tools, and equipment for large-scale construction projects. You will help monitor stock levels, maintain records, and assist in issuing items to project teams.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and collaboration with the Storekeeper, procurement, and logistics teams, offering hands-on inventory management experience in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management systems and tools.
• Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and equipment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Compliance with Saudi Labor Law and GOSI requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials, tools, and equipment.
• Organize and store inventory in designated locations to ensure easy accessibility and efficient retrieval.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using company-approved systems and tools.
• Support the Storekeeper in conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or overstock situations to the Storekeeper.
• Ensure proper labeling and tagging of materials for identification and traceability.
• Assist in preparing and issuing materials and tools to project teams as per requisitions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to facilitate timely delivery of materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the storage area to ensure a safe working environment.
• Support the implementation of inventory management best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Storekeeper or Inventory Manager.
