Job summary

Confidential Government in Riyadh is seeking a Senior Mechanical Site Engineer to represent the Owner in delivering mechanical infrastructure and MEP works on major developments.

You will coordinate consultants, contractors, and PMT teams to ensure designs align with Saudi Energy requirements, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and schedule. The role requires taking ownership of interfaces and ensuring timely handover to the client.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of NWC and Saudi Energy requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the site delivery of mechanical infrastructure and MEP works (water, wastewater, pumping stations)
• Represent the Owner in coordinating consultants, contractors, utility providers, PMT teams and stakeholders
• Review designs, shop drawings, submittals, method statements and proposals for compliance with requirements
• Monitor contractor performance, progress, quality, risks and schedule; implement mitigations
• Coordinate mechanical works with civil, electrical and other interfaces to ensure timely execution
• Ensure compliance with approved designs, standards, and authority requirements, including testing and handover

Job description

Represent the Owner in managing and overseeing the site delivery of mechanical infrastructure and MEP works for major development projects. The role is responsible for coordinating consultants, contractors, and PMT teams to ensure mechanical works are delivered in line with approved designs, NWC and Saudi Energy requirements, applicable standards, quality, cost, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the site delivery of mechanical infrastructure and MEP works, including water supply, wastewater networks, pumping stations, and related utility systems.
• Represent the Owner in coordinating consultants, contractors, utility providers, PMT teams, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review mechanical designs, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor contractor performance, project progress, quality, risks, and schedule, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Coordinate mechanical works with civil, electrical, and other infrastructure and building works to ensure proper interfaces and timely execution.
• Ensure compliance with approved designs, NWC and Saudi Energy requirements, applicable standards, and authority requirements, including testing, commissioning, and handover.
