The IT Application Manager will lead the strategic direction, lifecycle management, and operational excellence of all business-critical software applications. This role bridges the gap between corporate strategy and technical execution, focusing on the long-term planning, development, and deployment of applications that support property management, leasing, acquisitions, and facilities operations along with shared services ERP systems. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader with a deep understanding of technology ecosystems (e.g., Yardi, Oracle, Microsoft or similar) and a proven record of driving digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Roadmap: Develop and maintain an enterprise application strategy aligned with business growth, M&A activities, and property portfolio expansion.
- Technology Evaluation: Lead the research, selection, and vetting of new software solutions (PMS, CRM, ERP, BI tools) specific to real estate workflows, including ROI and TCO analysis.
- Vendor Governance: Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and licensing agreements with software & support vendors; manage vendor performance and roadmap alignment.
- Data & Integration Architecture: Define the strategy for data modeling, API integrations, and middleware to ensure seamless data flow between leasing, finance, and property operations as well as ERP systems for employee services.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all applications adhere to industry regulations (e.g., data privacy … etc.) and corporate cybersecurity policies.
Development & Implementation:
- Project Leadership: Oversee the full SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) for custom builds, including requirements gathering, agile sprint planning, UAT, and go-live coordination.
- Process Automation: Direct a team of ERP analysts, developers, and external consultants in designing, customizing, and deploying modules.
- System Upgrades: Plan and execute major version upgrades and patch management cycles with minimal downtime to business operations.
- Collaborate with C-suite & department to translate business goals into system capabilities and technical specifications.
- Drive automation of manual processes (e.g., invoicing, collection, proberty management, and shared services “HR, Finance, procurement, admin …etc.”) using custom scripts, workflows, and RPA tools.
Leadership & Operations:
- Team Management: Manage a team of application analysts, developers, and administrators; conduct performance reviews and mentorship.
- Incident Escalation: Serve as the final point of escalation for critical application outages or data integrity issues, driving root cause analysis.
- Continuous Improvement: Establish KPIs (application uptime, user satisfaction, ticket resolution time) and lead quarterly reviews to improve system performance.
- Training & Change Management: Champion user adoption by coordinating training sessions and creating documentation for new system features.
- Manage vendor relationships, service-level agreements (SLAs), and procurement of hardware/cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation—system architecture, data dictionaries, and user manuals—for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to influence C-suite decisions and mediate conflicting priorities between departments & vendors.

Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related field; MBA or Master’s in IT Management is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in an IT management role, with at least 3 years in supervision level.
- Certifications: PMP, ITIL, or Agile Scrum Master certification (highly desirable).
