Job summary

Si-Ware Systems is seeking an Inertial Solutions Systems Engineer to support validation and characterization of inertial systems, focusing on test automation, embedded design, hardware debugging, and testing to ensure high performance and reliability of inertial products.

You will develop automated tests, analyze data, review C-based firmware for SPI/I2C interfaces, and collaborate with design, firmware, and production teams to drive issues to resolution. This role is open to Saudi Nationals.

Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or related.
  • Saudi Council of Engineers Engineer Grade membership is mandatory.
  • Citizenship: Saudi Nationals only.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated test plans, scripts, and device drivers for high-speed data acquisition and performance characterization.
  • Perform hardware debugging and signal integrity analyses using oscilloscopes, analyzers, and DMMs.
  • Analyze test data and produce validation reports.
  • Review firmware (C) to validate SPI/I2C interfaces and register configurations.
  • Create clear technical documentation and collaborate with design, firmware, and production teams.

Job description

The Inertial Solutions Systems Engineer will support the validation and characterization of Si-Ware's inertial systems. This role focuses on test automation, embedded design, hardware debugging, and testing to ensure the high performance and reliability of our inertial products.

What You Will Do
  • Test Automation & Execution: Develop and maintain robust automated test plans, scripts, and proprietary device drivers for high-speed data acquisition, control, and performance characterization.
  • Hardware Debugging & Signal Integrity: Utilize advanced laboratory equipment, including high-bandwidth Oscilloscopes, Logic/Protocol Analyzers, and Digital Multimeters (DMMs), to perform hardware diagnostics. Proactively troubleshoot and isolate root causes for signal integrity issues and communication protocol errors on Printed Circuit Boards.
  • Advanced Data Analysis & Reporting: Process, clean, and analyze datasets generated from testing runs.
  • Embedded Firmware Analysis: Deeply review, trace, and debug C-based firmware to gain a complete understanding of sensor logic, internal state machines, calibration. Focus on validating the correct implementation of digital interfaces, like SPI and I2C communication protocols, and register configurations.
  • Documentation & Collaboration: Create and maintain clear, high-quality technical documentation, including validation reports, test procedures, and bug reports. Collaborate closely with design, firmware, and production teams to drive issues to resolution.
  • Citizenship: This role is open to Saudi Nationals in line with local employment regulations.
  • Education: BSc or MSc in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or a strictly related engineering degree.
  • SCE Membership: Engineer membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers (Engineer Grade category) is mandatory for this role.
Technical Skills
  • C Programming: Required (Must).
  • Python: Proficiency is a plus.
  • Inertial Testing: Knowledge is a plus.
  • PCB Fabrication & Layout: Knowledge is a plus.
  • Data Analysis & Visualization: Ability to interpret data to guide engineering decisions is a plus.
  • Laboratory Equipment: Hands-on experience with equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Logic/Protocol Analyzers, and DMMs is a plus.
  • Embedded Systems: Understanding of digital interfaces (SPI, I2C) is a plus.
