Job summary

Talentera seeks an ICU Registrar to provide inpatient care at NMC Hospitals and Clinics in Saudi Arabia. The role requires delivering high-quality medical treatment in line with evidence-based medicine, ethics, and local regulations.

You will perform histories and exams, admit patients from ER, coordinate investigations, conduct rounds, maintain records, and contribute to education and on-call coverage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality medical treatment and compassionate care for every inpatient at NMC Hospitals and Clinics.
• Take patient history, perform physical examinations, and document condition on admission.
• Admit patients from ER after discussion and approval of the Consultant.
• Evaluate new admissions and plan investigations to establish a diagnosis and management plan.
• Conduct daily rounds and liaise with the Consultant on care of inpatients.
• Document management plans and maintain complete, timely medical records.
• Seek Consultant advice as needed; work under supervision.
• Prepare discharge summaries, death reports, and related documents.
• Present new admissions in daily morning reports.
• Participate in on-call rota and respond to emergencies.
• Assist senior staff in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
• Supervise junior staff and uphold patient confidentiality.
• Participate in department education and training activities.
• Abide by department policies, hospital by-laws, and regulations.
• Carry out duties assigned by Head of Department.
• Educate patients and families per policy, and involve them in care plans.
• Provide health promotion and education tailored to patient needs and language/cultural considerations.
• Allocate time to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient education.
• Perform any other assignments as directed by the Head of Department.
