Job summary

ACWA Power seeks an experienced maintenance engineer to plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance on plant I&C equipment. You will allocate tasks, supervise staff, maintain records, and ensure timely completion of work orders via SAP CMMS.

You will also support the Section Head in executing maintenance plans, coordinating with planning engineers, and ensuring IMS objectives are met, including safety and environmental requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in I&C engineering.
• 6–10 years of related experience; 12 years preferred.
• Experience with IMS/HSE processes is preferred.
• Proficiency in SAP CMMS and maintenance planning.
• Strong communication and English language skills.

Job description

Job Purpose

Works under the direction of Section Head to plan & supervise all preventive and corrective maintenance, monthly /annual outage and overhauling work activities on plant I & C equipment.

• Assigns preventive and corrective maintenance jobs as per the direction of Section Head. Supervises and co-ordinates activities of maintenance staff. Maintains records, prepares reports and composes correspondence related to work.
• Executes work order through CMMS (SAP) and co-ordinates with planning engineer for job completion and technical matters.
• Maintain such communications and relations as are necessary to report on the status of matters requiring action and to ensure that corrective action is undertaken.
• Helps Section Head Maintenance Manager in executing corrective and planned maintenance with due regard to annual scheduled maintenance plan.
• To perform technical evaluation of quotations received from purchase department and recommend appropriate choice.
• To prepare purchase requisitions for spare parts and consumables ensuring budgetary constraints and arrange strategic spares availability to cope up with the maintenance requirements.
• Review and recommend new maintenance procedures and work instructions.
• Supervise, direct and co-ordinate the activities of all personnel assigned to his area.
• To carry out any other duty assigned to him by the management from time to time.
• Ensure Environmental Aspect-Impact and Hazard Risk Assessment are carried out, controlled and updated.
• Implement, monitor and report IMS objectives, Targets and programs.
• Provide necessary resources for effective implementation and sustenance of IMS.
• Report IMS performance to the management periodically.
• Ensure Legal compliance with respect to their scope of activities.
• Ensure identification of root cause for the identified non conformances/ deviations and to implement corrective actions/Preventive actions.
• Identify the competency gap for their subordinate personnel and implement necessary actions.
• Carry out annual performance evaluation of reporting employees.
• Responsible to ensure the compliance to legal requirements, contractual and organizational requirements.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees and evaluate their OJT Performance.
• Identification, documentation and control of hazards in assigned work area.
• Ensure aspects identified are monitored and operational controls are followed.
• Report deviations in Integrated Management System, identify root cause and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Reporting of emergencies and incidents and near misses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s engineering degree (B.E) in I & C for four-year College or university.

Minimum Experience: From Six to Ten years related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferable Experience : 12 years of related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
