Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Hydrology & Drainage Engineer in Saudi Arabia to lead the design and analysis of stormwater and flood mitigation systems for major infrastructure and master planning projects in the Middle East.

You will conduct hydrological studies, design drainage structures, and support SuDS implementation while collaborating with diverse teams to integrate drainage solutions into broader infrastructure designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 6+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proficiency in PC software packages commonly used in hydrology and storm drainage design.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic studies for flood risk assessment, stormwater management, and infrastructure design.
• Design stormwater drainage structures including culverts, bridges, channels, swales, ponds, and stormwater networks.
• Contribute to the planning and implementation of sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), erosion protection, and flood control solutions.
• Perform rainfall and runoff analysis using meteorological and morphological data.
• Utilize industry-standard hydrology and modeling tools to develop design solutions.
• Review and ensure the quality and timely delivery of design packages from pre-concept through to IFC.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate drainage systems into wider infrastructure designs.
