Job summary

Air Products is seeking a HYCO Field Operator to manage daily field operations of a hydrogen production plant. You will report to the DCS Operator & Shift Supervisor and ensure production targets, safety, and environmental compliance are met around the clock.

Responsibilities include monitoring equipment, startup/shutdown activities, field rounds, and first-line troubleshooting. Strong communication and teamwork with maintenance and operations are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, Mechanical, or Chemical Process Operations with 5 years’ experience preferred.
• An Associate Technical Degree (2-year certificate) will be considered based on years of experience and competence.
• Experience in Field Operation, with minimum of 5 years in SMR based Hydrogen or related plants as Field Operator.

Responsibilities

• Operate the SMR-based hydrogen plant and related units as prescribed.
• Monitor process variables and perform field rounds to ensure safety and production targets.
• Coordinate start-up/shutdown sequences and maintenance with the DCS Operator & Shift Supervisor.
• Maintain logs, conduct handovers, and troubleshoot equipment to meet customer demands.
