Job summary

Atkins Realis Group seeks an experienced HVAC technician to install, test, commission and service a range of HVAC systems including chillers, AHUs, FCUs and VRF/VRV networks. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis, and reading complex drawings and manuals.

You will ensure compliance with safety standards and document all maintenance activities. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/ITI in HVAC with 3–7 years hands-on experience, preferably with GCC/UAE project

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI in HVAC or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–7 years hands-on HVAC experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC mechanical, electrical and control systems.
• Experience in GCC/UAE projects preferred.
• Familiar with ASHRAE, SMACNA, CIBSE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, maintain and repair HVAC systems including Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, DX units, VRF/VRV, split and packaged units, exhaust and fresh air systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance per schedules.
• Diagnose system faults and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control issues.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics and technical manuals.
• Ensure refrigerant charging, pressure testing, vacuuming and leak detection are conducted properly.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, local codes and project quality requirements.
• Maintain service reports, maintenance logs and records.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers and other trades as required.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
