Job summary

WSP is seeking an HSE Officer to support implementation, monitoring and enforcement of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements across utility infrastructure projects in Riyadh.

You will monitor contractor compliance, conduct site inspections, identify unsafe practices and ensure corrective actions are taken, while coordinating with Resident Engineers and contractor HSE teams to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
• Fluency in English; Arabic knowledge is a plus.
• NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractor compliance with approved HSE plans, procedures and site requirements.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits and safety observations across utility infrastructure construction activities.
• Identify unsafe conditions and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Review and verify work permits, risk assessments, method statements and toolbox talks.
• Support incident reporting, investigations and root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, observations, incidents and safety meetings.
